  • Until we know the details and complexity of your individual case it is simply not possible to answer such a question.

    At Charles Stantham Solicitors we usually charge at an hourly rate. However, once we have initially assessed your case, we are able to produce estimates as to the cost of the legal action required.

    For certain areas of law, such as Wills and Conveyancing, we are able to offer fully fixed fees.

    We regularly review our fee structure to ensure our services are reasonably priced in comparison to other practices.

  • Unfortunately, at this time we do not carry out Legal Aid work.

    If you are eligible for this kind of funding you may find a solicitor who can take your case by referring to the Government provided Legal Adviser Finder.

    You can find out whether or or not you are eligible for legal aid by contacting your nearest Citizens’ Advice Bureau or Law Centre.

  • Think carefully about the details concerning your issue. Make a list of the main points you want to make or the questions you want to ask.

    Collect any documents that may be relevant and put them in some kind of order so you can refer to them quickly. This will make it quicker and easier for your solicitor to understand your circumstances and give you appropriate advice.

  • Yes, our first consultation with you will always be on a no obligation basis. Additionally, before this initial meeting, a telephone discussion, also free of charge, is used to assess the urgency of your matter.

  • Once you have contacted us we will arrange an immediate telephone consultation with one of our team. This will enable us to arrange a meeting with one of our team who will be able to consult with you in detail.

    At this initial consultation we will discuss your issue and advise you as to how we will be able to assist you in achieving a solution.

    If in the unlikely event that we are unable to help you then we will tell you and refer you to more appropriate help. We do not start charging fees until you are satisfied that we can be of assistance and are instructed to proceed with your case.

  • Yes, we have many clients who are currently situated nationwide and abroad.

    In cases such as these, communications may take place via email, post and telephone. Personal attendance is usually unnecessary and is kept to an absolute minimum.

  • Our hours of business are 9:00am to 5:30pm Monday to Friday and 9:00am to 1:00pm Saturday.
